Eat, Meet & Greet Geocoin Club April 2007

These coins just arrived in the mail today! They are the April 2007 Geocoin Club Coin. I designed these coins to have a sort of Retro look about them. I hold Eat, Meet & Greets fairly often and I always give out coins at each one, so I thought it would be fun to create a coin just for that purpose!

I was completely surprised when Mike said he wanted this design for the club! I had 2 different Metals made for the Artist Editions. The one above is Black nickel. There are 15 of these coins and I am selling a couple of them for $25.00 + $2.50 S&H. If you'd like one drop me an email.

This beauty is the Antique Copper Artist Edition. In my opinion (and Mikes) it came out the best of all of them! There are also 15 of these, but I am not selling any at this time.
And last but not least, this is the Path Tag that matches the coin! I have quite a few of these, but I'll probably only be gifting them at events.

PathTags & GeoTags

I've also been doing some Path Tags & GeoTags. The tag above is called TaoTag and I designed it for my husband.

And this is my tag, it's just called Brae's Tag. It's my first one, but surely not my last. PathTags are so much fun.

I've also created a PathTag for Geoholic28 as well as 17 GeoTags. As soon as I have pictures of each of those I will add them here as well.

MC Escher-esque Lizards

I can't say a whole lot about these coins yet, as we are in negotiations as to whether or not they can actually be produced. The coins are designed after one of M.C. Escher's pictures. Since childhood he has been one of my favorite artists, and I decided to pay tribute to him by making my own rendition of these famous lizards. It took me 18+ tries to get the design to work properly, and the mint another 4+ tries. The art is all my own, but in order to be on the safe side we are talking to the M.C. Escher foundation about them. When these coins can be produced they will be made by HogWild Stuff!

Birds of a Feather Cache together!

These cute little birds were designed with new geocoin addicts in mind. When I first started caching and learned about geocoins I wanted in right away. But the cost of having your own coin minted can be a little daunting, then add in tracking and icons and we're looking at some serious cash. So this design was created with the idea that anyone can personalize it, and that the colors can be changed for each individual wanting to have one made. A small amount can be purchased and give someone their introduction into geocoins with a trackable personalized coin with an icon! These coins are available for order through HogWild stuff's Birds of a Feather page. No Artist Edition coins exist at this time, though I may make a bird myself in the future! They're just so cute I can't resist.

What's in your Mailbox? V.2

Even with 125+ names on the first version of this coin I didn't get everyone, so we made the V.2. It has over 150 new names on it. The picture above is a SAMPLE and some changes have been made. I will post more pictures when I have the coins in hand. This coin was also produced by Oakcoins' Geoswag Store. I will have 30 Artist Edition coins in shiny copper. When they arrive I will sell some of them for $25.00 + $2.50 s&h, send me an email if you're interested in purchasing one.

Stonehenge - The Ultimate Mystery Cache.

The Stonehenge coin marks the first coin in a series I am doing for HogWild Stuff. I've always been fascinated with Stonehenge, as well as other mysterious places. To me it seemed like a fitting structure to depict the ultimate mystery cache. So much is still unknown about Stonehenge and it's meaning for existence. In the picture above you'll notice that the two coins have different coloring. The coin on the left is that production coin. It will be made in a shiny gold with epoxy coating, and also in bronze with imitation hard enameling. The coin on the right is a sample. I didn't like the colors so we switched them. No Artist Edition coins exist. These coins have NOT gone on sale yet.

What's in your mailbox? V.1

The "What's in your mailbox" coin was truly a community coin. It was created for the community of Geocoin folks who frequent the Geocoin Discussion at the GC.com forums. Over 125 names were added to this coin! It was produced in two metals, Shiny Gold and Shiny Silver and sold at Oakcoins' Geoswag store. As the artist I received 30 Artist Edition coins that are different in that they are red around the outside and have a red mailbox instead of blue on the production editions. Both the artist Edition and Production editions are pictured above. I have a couple of the Artist Edition coins available for $25.00 + $2.50 s&h.

Cacher on Board

This was another fun design inspired by some of the conversations I've had with my husband while looking for caches. The coin reads, "CAUTION! This car makes frequent and erratic stops." on one side and on the other, "I'm following the arrow. Which way now? It's pointing that way. & Quick turn now!" For this coin I went back to Christian at Oakcoins' Geoswag store. The coin was produced in two metals for a Regular and LE coin. One was shiny silver and the other shiny gold. The Artist Edition coin was Antique Silver and the white enameling around the car was not included. I received 30 Artist Edition coins, and have a couple left for $25.00 + $2.50 shipping. Email me at UOTrackers@yahoo.com if you'd like to buy one.

Geocoin Racers

Geocoin Racers! These are one of my favorite projects. I had been sitting on the idea and design for these coins for awhile. Honestly I was hoping to be able to produce and sell them myself, but it didn't pan out. So they too went to the Geocoin Store. The 4 production cars were the GC.com colors, Orange, Green, Yellow and Blue on black nickel. I believe that there were 250 of each color made, they are SOLD OUT now. As the artist I received 2 sets of the standard four colors in shiny silver PLUS 16 Purple and 16 Black cars on the shiny silver. All of the coins above are Artist Edition.

Cache Hiker

Another easy cheesy idea I had. Travel bugs and geocoins travel from cache to cache, not all that unlike hitchhikers. And Hitchhikers stick out their thumbs to travel. This was the second coin I did all by myself. It was sent to the Geocoin Store for their bargain bin. The production coin was minted in black nickel, while the coin above, the Artist Edition was minted in shiny silver. There were 15 Artist Edition coins made, and 500 production coins made. The production coins are SOLD OUT!

Geoswag's October 06 "Lantern" coin.

This coin was a joint project with Chris Mackey, of Fox-and-the-Hound. He had helped me with the art for our UOTrackers coin. I showed him a design I had sent of to Geoswag and he liked it so much that he played around with it. What he got is the coin you see above. For this joint project we each received 10 Artist Edition coins, produced in a shiny silver rather than the gold. These were the October coin for the Geoswag Coin & Pin Club.

Geoswag's May 06 "Cent" coin

This was my first attempt at designing a coin by myself. It's sort of Cheesy. I created this design to enter into the new (at that time) coin club, Geoswag Coin & Pin Club. Amazingly it was selected for their May coin. As the artist I received 9 Antique Silver Artist Edition coins. I belive that 30 total AE's were minted, Mauison had a very similar design so he also received 9 coins.

UOTrackers First Edition Coin

The UOTrackers First Edition coin features a famous corner in Aiken SC. The co-ordinates on the coin lead to our Coins, Tokens & Nickels, oh my! Cache. The shape of the coin was taken from part of our namesake, UO, which stands for Ultima Online, a game that both my husband and I have played for several years. This game is also where our "call names" come from. I am Brae, which is short for Braelynn Aria, and my husband is Ancient. Andromeda is actually Bella's middle name. So there you have the short version of UOTrackers!

Brae's Coins

Hey! You found my blog. Welcome! Hopefully I will update this blog frequently so that you can check in and see what I've been up to. This is where I will post pictures of coins I have designed. For the most part I will post Samples and Artist Editions. I'll tell you a bit about the design as well as the minting info, you know, where to get it, the size the colors etc. etc. etc. Once in awhile I may post art for coins that are WELL into production. I may also post art for coins or tags I have done for other people.

If your looking through these pages because you need some art done, and you like what you see, feel free to
shoot me an email
. I've got pretty reasonable rates and have been told I'm very easy to work with. Check back periodically for references!
